Summary: One school library replaced almost all of its library books with the digital alternative to stay ahead of the curve that is effecting schools today. It was collaborative learning areas, classrooms with smart boards, study sections, screens for data feeds, cyber cafe, and increased reference and circulation stations. With all of these, they have an even greater need for librarians who can help students navigate the resources. Her/his primary role is to teach information literacy skills- research questions, plagiarism, documenting, etc.
At the same time, the article wrote how research shows that digital reading provides weak instruction and shallow learning, and that people spend more time navigating and trying to keep thier place in the print.
